iManage Partner Portal


iManage is a leading provider of secure knowledge work solutions for organizations across various sectors. They specialize in cloud-based solutions that help organizations manage documents, emails, security, and workflows, with a focus on enhancing productivity and knowledge sharing. Marcel Digital initially worked with iManage to develop a new website to better showcase their services. However, as the project progressed, it became clear that the Partner Portal—an essential section of the site—needed further enhancements and improvements.

Why Did We Start the Project?

The Challenge

iManage had two separate portals for their Technical and Implementation Partners, both managed outside of their main CMS, which created inefficiencies in content management. These portals were hosted on different domains and were not integrated into the broader website’s content management system. This setup led to a fragmented user experience and difficulties in managing content across different areas of the site.

iManage approached Marcel Digital to streamline and enhance the Partner Portal, unifying it with the rest of their content management system, and making it more secure, user-friendly, and integrated with the marketing site. The key challenge was to provide a solution that allowed external partners to manage their content with proper approvals, without compromising security. Additionally, the portal needed to provide better workflows for internal teams and a more intuitive user experience for those navigating the partner listings

How Marcel Digital Helped

The Solution

Marcel Digital’s solution focused on unifying the partner content management within the site’s backoffice, eliminating the need for an external API and simplifying the user experience for both internal teams and external partners. By integrating the Partner Portal into the main CMS, iManage was able to streamline content management, improve security, and allow external vendors to update their partner listings with proper approvals.

One of the significant improvements was the redesign of approval workflows, which made it easier for iManage team members to manage partner account requests. Email notifications were set up to ensure that Partner Account Managers stayed updated on the status of requests. Additionally, the front-end user experience was enhanced through collaboration with the partner team to better display partner information, focusing on the technology partner name first before diving into product-level details. This change better aligned the portal’s layout with how users typically search for partners, improving usability.

By implementing these improvements, Marcel Digital transformed the Partner Portal into a more efficient, secure, and user-friendly tool. The enhancements provided a robust foundation for future growth, positioning iManage’s Partner Portal to better support their expanding network of partners and offer an adaptable, scalable solution as the company continues to grow.
