If you are brand new to the AdWords exam or if you are looking to get re-certified, you’ll want to start preparing for the AdWords exam with the right tools. Every year brings new trends and techniques used for search, and Google updates their exams to reflect those changes. It is important to stay up to date on the latest strategies and technology to ensure that you are utilizing Google AdWords effectively and efficiently.
Luckily, studying for this exam is not very difficult if you know where to find the right resources.
Here are a few useful tools and tips I use to help me prepare for Google AdWords Exams.
Google Adwords Exam Study Guides
This is always the first place I start when prepping for the AdWords exams. The AdWords study guides are always up to date with what will be on the exams and are chock full of some great material on how to utilize AdWords to the fullest. Google breaks down the guides for each exam so that you know exactly what information to look at and study. There are currently four tests provided for AdWords: Fundamental, Search Advanced, Display Advanced, and Video Advertising.
The Google study guide includes great examples and tips on how to study for each exam, as well as videos to explain each topic in more depth. If you are a beginner or even if you have some experience and are looking to refresh your skills, I highly recommend starting here.
Take A Practice Test
Just like any other test, a great way to study for an exam is to take a practice test. Luckily, there are plenty of online practice tests for each exam to give you an idea of the types of questions that will appear on the test. When you search for online exams, there will be many results. Be sure to view the source of the practice test to ensure that it is legitimate and worth your time. The AdWords exams have changed a lot in the last few years, and you’ll want to make sure you are studying exams that are including the most recent trends.
It is important to note that these tests are not exactly the test you will be taking. Google regularly switches up the questions to keep up with changes to the interface and takes great efforts to enhance your knowledge of the platform.
